Did you use new bulbs? When I used the old bulbs the first time I noticed the burnt paint and cracking, but no such problems with the new bulbs

anyways....that paint you used for the little bulbs how many coats of paint did you put on the light also you painted both sides right? because on you picture you only have one side painted.....also would the paint be transparend enough to have light shine through a corner light or a tail light???

thanks..</TD></TR></TABLE>

Yeah...actually the 2nd time I did it, I got a big box, turned it on its side, cut a slit through the middle, and stuck the bulbs with the tape on them in there. I put one coat of paint on, then let it dry for 2 hours, then put a 2nd coat on, then let them dry overnight. This paint really takes a while to dry, so I really recommend leaving them to dry overnight before you put them in.

Looks awesome!! I'm glad everything worked out well for you.
Your write-up kicked my write-up's *** hehe

For the people saying its a waste of time, then I guess they chose the wrong hobby because everything takes time if you want it to come out right. But after you figure everything out if you were to do it a second time around its cake..

As far as the person that had paint chipping/fading did you use the same testors paint? because its been about a year for me, although the car's been down for two months, and since I last drove it everything still shined nice and bright. If any fading did occur for me it was too faint to even really notice and repaint, and I'm a really picky person. The only problem I had from this was one of my climate control bulbs went out once and that was about a month after I did the color-change. Since then things have been peachy

you can actually change the climate control bulbs just by pulling the face cover off without pulling the whole unit.

Actually you can't, at least with EG's...you HAVE to remove this black cover piece on the bottom off:

There is a screw that holds the faceplate in, and that black plate holds the buttons down that hold the faceplate on as well. Not to mention, it is hard to get these tabs that hold the faceplate on if the unit isnt out of the car:

i did the same thing to my car over a year ago

the climate control is totally not worth it

i had to lay in the car backwards and look up to get it in/out, which totally killed my neck

and my hands were too big to get the screws out so my little bro had to help with that

Awww....boo hoo Andrew. Its only because you're like 6'5" and 250 lbs...i'm a scrawny *** 160 lb white boy Yes, the two screws were a bitch to get to. I had to get down under the dash and bend my arm in all sorts of ways to get those things out ...thats why I didn't put them back in when I put the climate control in The hardest part was getting the plugs in the back of the climate control out...now THAT was a bitch
