Re: Complete Rear Disc Brake Conversion How-To W/Parts Pictures 56k?? haha
Well I dont know how true this is, because in the process of gathering parts for my swap, I checked part numbers on MajesticHonda.com and found that the prop valve for a 00 Dx and a 00 Si are the exact same. I havent verified if this only pertains to the 99-00 Prop valves but I can't imagine why there would be any change in design from 96-00. Just an FYI, Maybe Im not understanding something here, feel free to correct me.
Edit:
In fact, I just checked, and the PN for a 96 Dx is 220473, and an 00 Si is also 220473. so unless im mistaken, all Ek prop valves are the same.

Like Romo Pyro said above, many BUT NOT ALL 96-00 already have the same exact prop valve as the 99-00 Si. This is for NON-ABS equipped.
It depends on Trim level and 2/3 door or 4 door.
Honda part numbers: (Bernardiparts.com)
Edit: seems like the Civics came with either a 13/16", 7/8", or 15/16" master cylinder seemingly at random when I looked at cars at the junkyard. One thing to keep in mind, the cars may have been built in USA, Canada, or Japan. Maybe this accounts for some random differences. When I looked up the part numbers below, I used the build options for KA emissions and built in USA.
96-00 DX/CX 3dr Hatch: prop 46210-S04-902 / MC 46100-S04-A04 (13/16")
96-00 DX/LX 4dr Sedan: prop 46210-S04-912 / MC 46100-S04-A04 (13/16")
96-00 DX/HX 2dr Coupe: prop 46210-S04-902 / MC 46100-S04-A04 (13/16")
96-00 EX 2dr Coupe: prop 46210-S04-962 / MC 46100-S04-A14 (15/16")
99-00 Si 2dr Coupe: prop 46210-S04-902 / MC 46100-S04-A14 (15/16")
This data says the following:
1) If you have an EX 2dr non-ABS, get a prop valve from a 2/3 door CX,DX,HX,LX non-ABS, Si, but KEEP your 15/16" Master Cyl!
The EX is the only trim with the bigger 10.3" front discs but the same small drums out back, requiring a diff prop valve.
'
2) If you have any trim besides EX/Si, replace your 13/16" or 7/8" Master Cyl with a 15/16" EX/Si, or possibly 1" Teg MC, but KEEP your prop valve! Honda must have given the sedan 4 door a different brake bias than 2/3 doors, so keep the prop. valve you have in your car unless you find out what the others would do to your car, good or bad, IDK right now.
3) So the trims with the small 9.5" front disc/drum have a similar brake bias (from the factory) to the Si with bigger 10.3" front discs/rear discs.
When you swap out the drums to rears discs, this will increase the rear brake bias, if you keep the 9.5" front discs. To get the same brake bias as an Si, you would need to also add the 10.3" front rotors/calipers along with your rear disc swap

Revive the Thread!!!
okay, let's say I do this full conversion from a 94-01 integra and now I want to put on an OEM sway bar and, for example, aftermarket lower control arms and a brace and a camber kit, etc...do I give specs under acura integra or do I give Honda civic specs???
as for the OEM sway bar I want it to be just that: OEM! so do I go with civic or teg???

Because of all the good info on this thread I did the brake conversion my self. I went with integra trailing arms and put in in new bushings pads and rotors. I used integra ss lines. I ordered a 7/8 MC and prop 40/40 prop valve. Did all the work my self in a afternoon. Went pretty smooth.
