whats the point of spraying the inside of the car window with windex when your only putting the black garbage bag on the outside?

Ahh I tried it today with a blow dryer, took a long time for the rear windows..still working on them.

But the sides came off fine. I'll be working on it again tomorrow l0l

you have to be careful with that rear window or youll strip off the defroster strips and thats no good.

Alright so I finished today's rear window.

It was a bitch! I used Goo-Gone, but it didn't work well as using muscle with Windex. That was from my experience though so yea.

But all in all, I'm happy with the results.

Thanks for the DIY

I use a spray bottle full of ajax and hot water.. comes right off for me.. sometimes you gotta pick an edge to start but itll come right off.. use the ajax and hot water to get the glue off afterwards as well.. you get not chemical smells in the car..

you can also use a steamer. it's quicker than the trash bag method and if done correctly it won't leave any glue residue..

the method worked perfectly... but that glue was tough to get off... had to use a razor blade and windex. other than that im very satisfied

yup good write up, another way to get off the glue is 80 20 mixture of amonia and water, works great "just dont sit in the car to long" and i don't suggest this method on the back window lol
