Nothing in this upgrade suggests you would lose your INT wiper function. Not sure how you read that.
Your hatch is USDM, even if it was built in Canada. All of them were.
Your VIN link also shows that a VIN that has "2HGEH236" is a DX, so you have a DX.

Just make sure you put your wires in the right slots. I made an error and had to recheck my work originally, now it works beautifully. You may also want to check the insides of whatever ICU you purchased and check the capacitors.

Great write up. Just finished my installation. Removing the chime took longer than I expected.

Deschlong, I'm having some trouble with mine. I have a '95 DX sedan. I triple checked my wiring and for some reason I don't hear the chime. I don't even hear the door chime that has always been there when I open the door. The wipers work fine, so does everything else. When I put my negative battery cable back on, it beeped 6-8 times, and now it doesn't at all.
Edit: I don't think the beeping is from the chime. It's either from the ICU or the alarm, I'm not sure.

Actually, everything works now all of a sudden. Now it beeps randomly even when the car is completely off.
Thanks for the help by the way.

Man, this is gonna be a lifesaver. I have now successfully killed my battery 5 times in 4 months due to leaving lights on and no chime. I'm headed to grab parts for this tomorrow. Thanks a ton.

Hey,a question, found all the pieces for this DIY but does $30 seem kind of a high price for an ICU? Are the wreckers out of their mind or am I just being cheap lol
Chime was only 8$ ...

It really depends on the yard, I believe its extremely expensive through a dealer. I picked up one for about 10$ at a pull apart and have 1 extra as a spare. Chimes can come from 90-93 Accords as well.

hmmm fair enough. I got the chime so maybe I'll just suck it up and drop the $30, 2 other scammer yards already tried to charge me $40, I'm doing the retrofit for the cabin air filter too and the girl quoted me out $8 for the Evap/heat duct lol so maybe that balances The bite out. So many parts, such limited income lol

Jesus ... mine usually cost in the $2 to $10 range. Although, first one I pulled was more since it was from a full service yard. Didn't make that mistake twice.

I even tried a Craigslist guy and he wouldn't do it for $30 with me coming over to pull it. Lol easiest pull ever...
They told me a hundred pulled at one place. !!!
Ill prob end up going back to get the one I pulled for $30 unless the ICU gods favor me tomorrow
Edit: just ended up forking over the cash, I want to install this thing tomorrrow hopefully. Hopefully the ICU is in good shape.

So, if you swap the two blu/wht ( I know, I know, you told us not to), the wipers will be on even when switched off?

^ Yeah, seems like the other BLU/WHT has something to do with intermittent wipers. Why do you ask -- are you having a - *ahem* - problem? C'mon, 'fess up if you are.

Lol, yea I'm having a problem... When the car is running, my wipers are on intermittent, even though the switch is at the off position. When I de-pinned the civic plug I didn't read the "don't mix up the blu/wht wires" until it was to late... It was dark I swear!

CHIME ON!
Just finished this retrofit about an hour ago! Everything works just as advertised! Thanks to Deschlong and rickkane.
Here is a video of what it should sound like when working properly.
