2000 civic w/ 1997 harness and ecu
Hey everyone! This is my first post and I desperately need help. I have a 2000 hatchback dx trim and I plan on going B series eventually. I buy and sell cars for a little extra pocket change. And I picked up a 1997 ex that someone had taken the Y8 engine from. It was running a y7 just like min3 but had the y8 manifold. So I decided I would take the y8 manifold an the Vtec harness it had in it still. (The car ran and I drove it over an hour home) So after I swapped everything I started the car and it ran fine sounded good. Then it just died (maybe 1 minute tops after start) and it was having fuel delivered. I’m wondering what I should check to solve this issue. Fuel pump is good. Was running fine before this. Ecu is good from the car I took it from. Is there something I have to do with the vtec wired that are not hooked up? Or what could cause it not to get fuel? Like I said it was running fine in the other car before I put it in my car

Start checking fuses especially in the engine bay.
Check for spark next.
Make sure the battery is charged.
What are the symptoms? does it crank but not turn over?
Does it make no sound when you turn the key?

May have TPS and IACV sensors mixed up. You should look up the wiring diagram for the Harness I assume is Ex. Check the wire colors match to the sensor.
