-[[ Just swapped Motor... what is this, and where does it go to?? ]]-
-- Never mind, i meant Integra Xsi Motor, not DELSOL VTAK --
So i took out my D15z1 (VX 93 Civic HB motor) and
dropped in a JDM B16a (Del Sol VTEC motor)... I don't know where this tube goes cause i cant fidn anything else that would connect to it. When I got the swap, i guess it wasn't there before when I bought the motor. Check the Pics, thx.
Anyone have a b16a and swapped EG pic? It would help me out alot to find out where it goes and what it is...
also on the 2nd pic, I dont have a place to put on my Map Sensor, lol... it's dangling right now, is that how it suppose to be?
*also friend has a b16a2 (USDM Si) and my other friend has a 94 B18b... they didnt have what I have on my Intake Manifold.. weird

coolant from the block to the IM on my EG6
from the block the pipe comes from the smallest of the 2nd pipe on the left under the IM where the blue arrow indicates. your one looks at a different angle to mine, mine goes left...

that is the FITV (fast idle thermo valve) you need a coolant line to go from that nipple, to the nipple on the intake mani on the side closest to the dizzy..
it reads the temp of the motor, therefore controlling the idle to be high when cold, or until OT..
if you have a fluctuating idle (1000-2000 surge), the FITV is the usual cause.. unscrew the back plate and tighten the plunger.. (im letting you know this, because when obd1 motors sit for a while the fitv plunger tends to stick.. and needs adjusting)

mine is a ukdm b16a2, so that must be another difference between a jdm b16a and a ukdm b16a2

the JDM b16 have the map sensor mounted on the firewall near the Fuel filter. just tie it up back there somewheres, it will work fine

The OBD-2 engines don't use the FITV's.. Idle is controlled via the IACV. The engine the poster has ia first gen B16. Its not from a Del Sol as he listed.

Just make sure its connected to some kind of vacuum source.
As for your FITV, there should be a coolant line that goes in through there, then out the other side to you IAC, then the IAC goes back into the motor.
Even though the FITV isnt exactly the same as yours its still does the same thing:

Markings from the valve cover "if stock" seem to be a 2nd gen obd1 b16a model from japan if you said it was jdm. That would be 92-95 most likely since they were the most common and available in japan for that model at the time, even if it did come in a Xsi integra it would still be obd1 most likely. Either way since it is 2nd gen b16a obd1 it's gonna have the fast idle thermo valve and it should run to the backside of the head if im correct if not then some where below or near the bottom left of the block "facing it of course" and i hope it runs good bro, laters.
