hey man, i have an universal N1 with custom 3" piping on my Eg.... its pretty hard to make it fit under there because the piping keeps hitting the lower control arm... ( the muffler's too long for a hatchback)... i need to see pics of this setup if anyone else has it.. thanx

i am about to put the N 1 on my EK9 and i was wondering how it would look..You say that you have had problems with it like what exactly..was it tilted or straight.. I just did a b16 swap in the car so the old exhaust has to go and get some stuff reworked...any insight would be helpful...if apexi n 1's cause a lot of trouble i may just sell it and buy the spoon stock style or N1

N1 exhaust:

Pros: It sounds great! has sort of a deep sound
It looks sleek and racey not ricey
You will see horse power gains and made of quality material
Has a silencer incase you think its too loud
Cons: My hatch was only dropped 2 inches and it hit going up steep drive ways or sometimes when it hit a big bump(keep in mind i have bouncy bouncy coilovers), but it didnt hurt the exhaust, i was just particular when it came to that stuff.
Also on my hatch it fit flush and didnt rattle, but on my friends civic coupe, it rattles, but you should be straight since you have a hatch! Also about the spoon sports n1, i just recently got an eg and am selling my automatic ek hatch show car on the internet and as soon as the auction is over, im swapping in a Jdm SiRII and puting a full cat-back spoon n1 on! Heard great things from this exhaust, both are great exhausts, but it all comes down to preference and spending around 900 for the spoon and 500 for the Apex-i, either way you go, im sure it will turn out good!

I have an N1 on my 92 hatch and its awful. I had to raise the rear of the car up to keep it from dragging. I have since installed a suspension techniques rear sway bar/lower tiebar combo and now the exhaust vibrates against it. If I could do it over again, I would not have purchased the N1. It looks good but that's about it. Its not very functional on my car.

Sorry to hear that, but its also comforting to know somebody else went through that pain to! Also, does anyone have pics on the eg with the spoon n1 full cat?

I have the N1 cat back on my 93 hatch. I went to a muffler shop and had a skid plate welded to the rear part of the muffler that hangs the lowest, they also shortened the final pipe before the muffler so it wouldn't stick out so much, and they angled it a little less in order to keep it from scraping. All this cost me 40 bucks, and I haven't had any problems with it since, also, I'm running a Skunk2 lower brace w/ST sway bars, no rubbing or clearance problems.

If youre car is lowered or you plan on lowering it, i DO NOT recomend the Apex N1 catback. If you don't listen to me that's ok you will find out for yourself. Just looking out for my fellow H-T member.....

Thats how mine looked on my ek.......tight as ****, but low as ****! So instead i am going to go with the spoon n1 cat-back on my eg because its littler and doesnt angle as much....Would anyone happen to have any pics of this on their car?

What exhaust is that? Looks like T1R with custom piping.
