Default *My 1997 Honda Civic Ex Project (56k Warning)*

Edit:
I purchased my civic about a year ago for $3000 with all the customizations done to it already. Though I really don't mind all the 'ricey' stuff done to it, im going to clean it up a lot. Right now i'm working on fixing up my engine so it's in top shape, then i'm moving on to fixing my exterior. I'm going to be replacing the side skirts and rear body kit with JDM ones to give it that stock look again. Not exactly sure what im going to do with the front yet, I might decide to keep the front how it is; well see how things go. I also plan to replace the tailights with stock ones and paint the upper halves black and keep the bottom the came color, though i'm still debating on it (does anyone have pictures of this? I'd appreciate it). I also plan to buy new rims, preferably black, but silver is still an option.

Does anyone have any recommendations on gauge clusters (keeping a blueish type color still) and some aftermarket gauge tips? I'm not sure if i'm going to get an 3 gauge a-pillar pod yet or not, but if I do I don't want the ricey/**** looking gauges. For the seats, I really want some leather racing-look type seats, but I can't find any that actually look good lol. I'm keeping a blue type theme for the inside of my car and engine bay, so if anyone have any suggestions please let me know. I'm open to anything right now, but money is kinda tight until I go into the military in a few months. Thanks for reading and keep checking back for my updates!

Hit a rock and busted my oil pan, lovely sight isn't it? That's what you get for having such a low *** car >_<

Here's how my car looks now:

Car is held up by 2 jacks now, so it's much safer . And as for the big *** swamp by my car, it rained hella that day and the ground here is like sand so the water doesn't get absorbed quickly. That area usually doesn't flood, but of course when my car is all messed up and cant move it does...Lol

------------------------------------------------------------
Progress:
------------------------------------------------------------
To-Do:

- Fix Oil Pan
- Change Oil Filter
- Clean Brakes \ Axle (Basically underneath the car)
- Drain all fluids / replenish
- Clean Engine Bay
- Install MegaFlow Catalytic Converter
- Replace sideskirts with JDM
- Replace rear body kit with JDM
- Black OEM Tailights (top half)
- Carbon Fiber Trunk - Painted to match car color (silver)
- Replace all seals (windows, doors, trunk, etc.)
- Skunk2 Coilovers (about 2" raise from were i'm at now)
- Silicone Radiator Hose Kit (Blue)
- Replace stock fan with a High Performance Electric Fan
- Replace stock radiator with a High Performance Radiator (Koyo)
- Install a oil cooler kit
- Paint / replace cold air intake filter (Paint gloss black + replace seals and u-clamps)
- Purchase/install a Street Fire Ignition
- Purchase/install a aftermarket Ignition Coil
- Purchase/install NGK spark plug wires
- Purchase/install new spark plugs
- Purchase/install aftermarket battery tie down (skunk)
- Purchase/install Edelbrock Performer X Intake Manifold
- Possibly purchase an Apexi N1 exhaust? or keep my dual exhaust and clean it up...

- Rebuild transmission for turbo setup
- Purchase an ACT Heavy Duty Clutch Kit
- Purchase an ACT Heavy Duty Clutch Kit
- Purchase an XACT StreetLite Flywheel

I'll add more as I go along. If anyone else has any suggestions, feel free to give em'

As for the ricey, yeah trust me I know. I honestly don't mind it myself, but i'm going to change it up once I get the money.

lol... this thread is funny... hit a rock and screw the oil pan, body kit is fine, and there's a picture of a sad looking civic in what appears to be a swamp.

"swamp find"

I dunno if anyone else finds this thread very funny, but I do.

Yep, been like that for 3 days now even after all the banging we had to do to get some of the bolts off. I literally have no other alternative unless I take my wheels off, in that case I need a special tool to take them off + I don't have enough blocks that aren't being used to do it. I really don't think the car is going anywhere... I got metal studs behind my back wheels to prevent it from moving back so it's ok.

Some type of 'star' tool that mechanics have. I was going to buy one, but didn't bother with it yet.

I would not get under that thing propped up like that. It's not even level, and it's on oviously soft ground.

Darwinism may happen here...

Fun of being low as you stated, I must say your setup ( where and how the car is at the moment ) is scary at best in the swamp even with legit jackstands.

Best of luck and post pictures when its all together.

So I bought some stuff today and finally took off my intake (pictures below and there not pretty haha). For some reason the other owner taped around the intake with electrical tape lol? So I removed all that and sanded, then I plan to paint it gloss black. The headers are rusted a little, yeah...but they came with the car so im not complaining. I plan to put some heat-wrap tape or cloth around it later to hide all that. The air filter was completely rusted and you could pretty much squeeze it and it would break . I ordered some new parts, so i'll take some pictures of the finished product

Some misc. stuff I bought

I'll post the updates in a few days (hopefully my parts come in too)
