*haxed* y8 manifold w/ ls throttle body installed on d15b! pix
well i haxed everything...using a bare y8 manifold with my previous d15b stuff. but whatever works, works! :D been driving for about 3 weeks now and no cels / no problems whatsoever! woot!
y8 manifold
z6 fuel rail
z6 iacv
ls throttle body
problems i ran into: i had to grind out the metal block on the back of the y8 mani for the z6 iacv to fit...im using 1 bolt to hold up my fuel rail w/ a big sqare washer so it'll hold down the fuel rail tightly. pcv valve wouldnt come off from my z6 manifold so i had to go to honda and buy one.
gains: eh i say about 5 hp more mid-highs...vtec is louder and yes i would say its a good swap for the monay!

its all kinda odd though, because i had my d15b manifold and it didn't look too bad. really dont know how it compares to the y8 but props to you though
d15b powa!

why is the y8 mani better than the z6 mani btw...</TD></TR></TABLE>
yeah, after reading spade's sohc upgrades thread... i thought the conlusion was that
z6=higher end power(shorter runners)
y8=lower end power (torque chamber)
or did you know this and proceeded?

Very nice man, good to see you finally got it done . Like I said before, looks alot like mine, except I used the y8 rail/z6 injectors, and yes...my throttle cable is rigged a bit and likes to stick. Now, I have a question for YOU lol. I dumped my ls tb when doing my swap because my mani wasn't port matched, and didn't want the bottleneck effect. Is yours port matched? Does it really matter? Let me know, I'm using the z6 tb...for now.

i did not port match my intake manifold yet...maybe down the road. I guess it'll matter just a little since theres 4mm of more air going in :D the pelumm of the y8 is sooo huge! like 1 1/2 inch bigger than the stock z6.

i still find it odd you had to mod to fit the IACV. I put a 95 Z6 IACV on my 00 Y8 manifold - pure bolt on.

Thats why my Civic is so light. Can't afford to put stuff on, so I just take stuff off

you need to fix your throttle cable some how, I put on an ex manifold on my 97dx and i couldnt get the throttle cable to line up(used my stock bracket). so the cable came out at an angle like yours. pedal is more stiff right. the cable will rub and cut a line at the part you adjust the cable and in my case eventually snapping the cable. happened to me on the freeway(all of a sudden no throttle response)SUCKS! I had to tie the broken ends together. It did give me more power though, i had that little swap, cold air n cat back exhaust and was giving ex's comp
