*Another Civic Stolen Hawaii*
me and my ex's civic was stolen last night 5/11/05 from the sports authority parking lot here in hawaii. the car was a 1993 Civic EX 4-dr White Auto w/lowering springs, some generic muffler, ls meshes, some crappy body kit front bumper (cracks on it), and a chipped rear passenger tail light, license plate# BZ494. the car was last seen by her at 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm by her manager. around 10:00 when she went outside to grab the shopping carts the car was gone. alarm never went off and no glass on the ground.
the car had a viper 791xv with start immobilizer and automatic engine disarm enabled, the conveinence trigger crap feature turned off, and shocker sensor turned all the way up. i had also went back and hid the wires from the fuse box among the factory wiring and relocated the brain box to behind the cluster. i wanna know how they did it? the aed cannot be bypassed by using the valet switch and can only be disarmed with the remote. it activates 30 seconds after the ignition is turned off. and there is only one remote for the alarm, which she had and still registers the car as locked w/out any system triggers.
just hard to believe they got in without the alarm going off or anyone seeing anything. its just too fishy for me, other employees of the shopping center have had their cars broken into and stolen from the same parking lot with the same circumstances, this has gone on for the past 2-3 years. everyone suspects that the security company that "patrols" the center is in on it. it seems to be that everytime that something happens they're nowhere to be found. this **** just sucks, i thought with an auto and a good alarm i might be safe. it just goes to show that if lazy ************* wanna steal your **** they will. this **** is freaking me out right now because my hatch is sitting in ca on a container ship waiting to come over next week.

Damn. Sucks to hear that. I'm going to Hickam with my boosted EM1 next year. Time to upgrade the alarm system in it and gonna add a few passive protection things to it while I'm at it.

A car stolen in Hawaii with intentions to be stripped is just that. They take the motor/tranny and dump what is left over in an alley. It's either for a joy ride or for the parts. Not the whole car.
That sucks man, I hope it's just for a joyride.
