Default **Build Thread-EG Civic Hatchback**

Hello everyone, my name is Zach and this is my first build car. I bought this white 94 civic eg back in late July 2012 and have been in love the car everyday since. I've done a few things to her since and have some pictures to help document this build.

So lets start off with what was done/swapped to the EG before i bought it.
-B18b1 motor swap
-GSR tranny
-black Integra bucket seats
-Type R rear seats-
-GSR blades
-cheap coilovers/lowed

Looks like a great canvas to start with. What did you spend initially to buy it?

Lets get started the car came with a blue interior so first thing i need was picked up a black dash, black door panels and an alarm system to hide in the interior when swapping.
I picked up the black dash and a black steering wheel with the air bag off craigslist for $25
Bought a pair or black door panels with the door pockets from a bud for $70
-A buddy of mine added some custom cloth into his integra door panels and i really liked the idea. So i want searching around at some local fabric store and picked up this cool digital navy blue camo fabric.

I also picked up a viper 2 way alarm system for craigslist for $100 i think

I picked up a cargo cover from a buddy of mine and painted it black

Carbon fiber duckbull with led brake light

Picked up a black NRG quick release short hub and a VMS deep dish leather steering wheel

Also picked up a black hub lock

When i bought the car it came with the antenna. I didnt plan on using the radio alot/if at all so i pulled it out and replaced it with a jdm antenna block plate

Painted the windshield wiper blade arms again.

The car came with integra floor mats so i picked up a set of civic floor mats and splash guards online

Christmas came and i got a set of FX-R projectors from my girlfriend and a blue shifter **** and black with blue stick shifter boot from the fam.

Retro'ed the projectors into a set of clear lensed ebay headlights and painted the headlight housing black after fitting the cut outs for the projectors.
Installed a set of amber corners my buddy bought me for christmas.

You need to ditch the ugly rear seats and upgrade your suspension

And for future reference, if you want to reply to my messages then click the button on the bottom right of the box (it will say 'Quick reply to this message' when you hover over it), that way I will know when you respond to my comments. Thanks.

Don't get a hood bra. Those things are so weird. You aren't driving a minivan.

Thanks for the advise. The steering wheel is a VMS gold deep dish steering wheel. I picked the entire quick release set off ebay. Black NRG short hub quick release 2.0 and a VMS black leather deep dish steering wheel with gold stitch. It set be back about $240. I don't like the looks of the hood bras. I'm planning on picking up a carbon fiber hood or replacing my current hood with a oem non-dented one. That projects probably going to set on the back burner for awhile since the dent isn't noticeable.

Bought a bluetooth JVC deck of Amazon for $90. It came with a mic which i ran under the dash to the left corner edge of the dash up by the side pillar. I really like having a bluetooth receiver in my cd player a lot. It wireless-ly syncs with with my entire cell phone music library as soon as I get into the car. I just leave my phone in my pocket most of the time and skip songs with the deck or remote.

Its been raining pretty bad out lately so I rain X'ed the interior and exterior of my window.

Ive been considering painting my rims black or white, but wasn't sure which color I liked more. So picked up some plastidip to give black a test run on my rims to see if i liked it. I do and plan on pulling the plastidip off and getting them permanently painted black one of these weekends. Here are some picks of plastidipping my rims.

Pic of my car up on jack stands getting her shoes touched up

I placed a row if index cards in between the rims and tire to keep the plastidip where i wanted it. I also used painters tape to cover the tire stems.

My wonderful girlfriend bought me a set blue BWR lugs for my birthday.

Pics of my car at home sporting the black blades

Its not paint just plasti-dip. Its just rubber liner that peels off when you dont want it on anymore.
