Hey guys, I'm new to this forum. I have a 98 d16y7 SOHC non vtec honda civic lx sedan. I just bought a z6 vtec head and am working on getting it rebuilt but I don't really know much about motor so I wanted to get some advice on what to get. I know it depends on what you want to do with the motor. All I really want out of this motor is a fun time. I want to keep my good gas mileage 35-40 mpg. It is my daily driver. And I want to be able to go fast and have fun with vtec without blowing the motor. So I'm looking for a good rebuild kit or certain parts I need to get so I can rebuild it. I also want to rebuild my block. idk what kind of block i guess jut a d16 block right? lol I really just want to get a good riding civic with good gas but that can haul a little ***. I want to get a short ram intake on there and maybe eventually a greddy turbo. Not sure about the turbo yet though. So I'm just looking for advice on what parts to get to rebuild the head and block. I'm looking for prices and sources to buy them from. I really want all new parts, so I don't want to buy anything used. Any help is much appreciated. (:
