** Damn It I hit a Curb ** AHHHHHHH !
Some lady in a pick up truck decided that she dosent want to look left before changing lanes and decides too run me off the road. I hit a curb and jump on it. Now my wheel is pushed back about 2-3 Inches. I have a 99-00 Civic . Should I be worried . I think it just might be the LCA . Any thoughts guys.

Oh and speedfreak my frame is bent. My sol's previous and only owner got in a minor front driver side accident and it had a CRAPPY repair job done. The frame wasn't straightened completely, I'll get a pic. The paint job looked like a Maaco job. the headlight sockets weren't replaced, etc
Anyway, how hard is it to bend it back or how much does it cost?

seen this before.
you might need a new fork, drive axle, control arm, hardware, you might have bent your piston in your shock. it costs a lot of money to fix. the best thing would be to find used/scrapped parts. you might want to get aftermarket parts it might be less or more expensive that the genuine honda parts. first i suggest going to a scrap yard.
good lucl on that.
edit : labor is going to cost you the most, more than the parts i bet. after you replace the parts you're not even sure if it will drive straight, the frame could have been bent. take it to a shop that does frame alignment, a REAL bodyshop.

Sucks to hear....theres no telling the extent of damages until you actually jack teh car up and look for yourself. We could guess all day on what could possibly be wrong, but its just one of those problems you need to figure out by actually looking under your car.

where is the car?
don't tow it to a shop unless you know for sure they do good work and you feel comfortable with them doing the work, or else they are going to take advantage.

I hit a curb with my Accord during the winter about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I replaced the rear beam of the front subframe along with the LCA, rim and radius rod. The subframe was torn were the LCA bolts to it. The fork, strut, axle and frame were all good. I've also heard that wheel bearing can be damaged from an impact like that. I don't know if mine was damaged because I did a complete brake job at the same time and they recommend you replace the bearing when replacing the rotor because you need to remove the hub to replace the rotor (hub-over-rotor sucks). Good luck

Re: ** Damn It I hit a Curb ** AHHHHHHH ! (Rocks)
You could have bent the front subframe. I had a little curb check myself and the control arm was bent along with the rear mounting point on the subframe. Believe me, if you don't have a lift, it will be the biggest pain in the *** to remove that subframe. Mostly because your steering rack is attached to it. If I remember correctly the LCA set me back a little over $200 (new from Honda, with bushings) and the subframe was a little over $400. Thankefully I didn't have a bent frame to deal with, that would have been a bitch. All together I spent ~$700 and 14 hours of my time.

That happend to me but I went up an cement island going too fast, heres how i fixed it, i checked the lower control arm and noticed it was bent thats how hard i hit the curb, then just went to a local hondaheaven and bought a used good condition not bent lower control arm with the sway bar holes and it bolted up nice and now my wheel is dead center again. but my alignment is way off
hope this helps........
