its your synchronizers. it is a very common problem on aging Hondas. best thing to fix this thing or so i heard from superstreet magazine is to go to an auto parts store and get "GM Synchromesh (friction modified) or Redline MTF," to reduce the grind. Some have sworn using these fluids have completely ended their grinding issues. Or however, if you are rich, get another tranny. But i would prefer doing the cheap thing first.

Re: ****B16 TRANNY PROBLEM****
Before doing any of that, check your Clutch MC and make sure you have enough fluid and then bleed the slave cylinder. Before even going into the transmission, IF you do drop the transmission, it could possibly be the clutch or release bearing. I just got through replacing my clutch on my b18b. Chances are, your synchros may be wearing, but there are other probabilities before it. My clutch disc was broken which prevent me from going in gears. I'll try to post pics, otherwise, this site shows pretty much what mine did. http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/clutch/index.html
2 of the springs were nearly about to pop out. I believe the clutch was rusted b/c it was alot of orange powder around the area. Diagnose your clutch before you tear into the transmission!!!

The Clutch M/C is working, have enough pressure?? Check in the cabin to see if any fluid is leaking back into the cabin, but make sure you bleed it first.

any signs of clutch wear? loosing power at high revs or slipping? switch the fluid like the guy above me said, if it continues, you might have a shot clutch.

Re: ****B16 TRANNY PROBLEM****
check your fluids and since you said that you have a brand new clutch, possibility then it can't really be that your fluid. I am assuming that it is your synchronizers.
