For those who want to know, I have a 98 civic, and depending on the manual used, I have a Haynes, you may get varying procedures. For the passanger airbag removal follow these steps:
<FONT COLOR="red">WARNING: airbags are dangerous and can cause injury, use caution when handling an airbag. Make sure your SRS system and battery are disabled/disconnected before you do anything. I assume NO RESPONSIBILITY for anything you do to yourself!</FONT>
Under the center console on the pass side is the YELLOW connecter for the pass airbag, unplug this.
Next remove your glovebox or let it hang all the way down, careful not to damage the hinges.
Now you will be able to see the airbag module held in by 3 bolts, 2 up front and one near the rear in the center. (10mm)
Now the airbag will be ready to be taken out, use caution to never put your face or body in the path of the airbag while doing this. You will have to PRY, I know, under the trim panel on the left side. There is a small hole that a screwdriver will fit into to help. I takes alot more strenght then I though it would becasue of some flanges that hold the module in the dash.
Once it's far enough out of the dash, carefully pull it out facing it away from you. Store it on a shelf trim side up for safety.
Now if you have a blockoff tray, use some double sided tape and install it in the new huge hole in your dash!

My guess would be because since the driverside airbag is gone...the passenger will not work anyways.

NOPE...I never used it in the first place. Yanked it right after I installed the wheel.

Then u have a passenger in ur car, get into an accident, cops/insurance adjuster decides the air bags should have deployed, upon further analysis he realizes there are none, upon noticing this not only do u get NO compensation from the insurance company from removing the stock airbag, but then u get FINED by the police for creating a hazardous situation..
BUT U HAVE UR AFTERMARKET STEERING WHEEL, SO IT'S ALLLL AIGHT, now ur short the car and the $ for the huge *** fine u have to pay (and then u better pray they don't put points on ur license because of it)
*sigh* - and these are the same people that claim a bodykit's rice sayin "ALL BODYKITS MUST DIE" while also saying "look at my stock car with the aftermarket steering wheel and a-pillar guage pod that shows my battery power and my air/fuel ratio on a stock O2 sensor"

btw, you tell them everthing single mod in yo car?</TD></TR></TABLE>
They know about every mod. It's the only way I would get any kind of $$$ out of a Total loss.

Both airbags are about $1180 + tax, so it's triple.
