Default Problem please Help !!!! ASAP !!!!!!
hey guys ... well i got a new cluster today ... (it was from an automatic car )i drive a 5-speed manual ...

i have a D15b7 ... and i know the cluster is from a D16z6 ...

first off now when i get into higher speeds the car shuts off ... just like a stall and the RPM jump all over tha place befor it goes out ... anybody know what the problem could be ?

and does the cluster being from an automatic have anything to do with it ...

please help this is my only car ... thanks

There should be any problems with an auto cluster in a manual car. I hope you know the redlines between the Z6 and B7 are different, and I hope you didn't go to redline on the EX cluster.

no i didnt redline the Ex cluster .... i know the B7 redline is Lower than the Z6

Like mentioned, the problem is not with your cluster but something else. Does the car restart?

well yeah like 45mph .. its done it 3 times already in like 15 min ... all smae symtoms .. also the fan comes on after its stalled .

it cranks ... new plugs and wires.... what do you mean timing ?

new battery

just had an oil change ... new clutch .. new starter ...

do you have spark? is timing correct on the motor? how about firing order? first check for spark

i put the old cluster back in and that car started right up ... you guys sure its not the cluster ?

im check on it more in the morning ... any more ideas guys ?

im gonna drive it around and see if it cuts out ..man this sucks i just baught that cluster ...

anything you think i should check just for percausion ?
