check to see if your getting power to the ECU, with a multimeter, but get somebody with electrical experience to do it

what is the setup? year of the car...and engine...and things that you did to the engine prior to installing it. That will be a big clue.

distributor.
not the ignitor, but the distributor itself.
swap it with a friends to see if that is the problem.
it is possible the dizzy has failed but the ignitor may still be functional.. so dont start buying replacement ignotors for $100 that you might not be able to return... ask me how I know

the ignitor is the yellow piece thats in the distributor when you open it up, just take a few screws out and you'll be able to take the ignitor out...
but you might want to first swap distributor with someone elses to see if the dizzy is broken, most of the time if the dizzy is broken, its due to the ignitor in the dizzy malfunctioning...
good luck and dont forget to send me the $$

if yr engine cranks over, but does not start... this might sound stupid but.. make sure that you have an ecu plugged in, and if you do, it is most likely the coil in your distributor. I have had coils go bad in my distributors numerous times ,and it is the reason you are getting no spark.

personally, i think the ecu isnt grounded. is the fuel pump coming on for a second when you turn the key on? if its not, the ecu grounds to the block under the hood. its those 2 little wires on the backside of the engine. i accept paypal for payments, thanks

Do you hear the fuel pump coming on?
Are all grey connectors hooked-up?
Check allyour grounds.
Swap distributors with a friend.
Check your rotor/cap.
You still didn't go into detail regarding what exactly you did while wrenching on the car...perhaps you should.
Prime your injectors, see if that might help?

i think its actually where the lower radiator hose connects to the back of the engine. thermostat housing? i cant think right now, sorry. but if the fuel pump comes on when you click the key on, then the ecu is grounded, if it doesnt, then its not grounded. i just thought you might have taken this groun loose when you changed the clutch. i did the same thing when i put my new engine in.

Furthermore, they are two small wires that ground there...But why would you have taken those off in the first place?
edit- by the way, thats a cool paintjob on your hatchback

i just thought he might have taken them loose when he was removing stuff to take the tranny off. just my interpretation of da situation mang. i wish he would tell me if the fuel pump comes on or not, though.
