I would say $15k if its super clean. but it's only worth what someone is willing to pay.

Hello all, new here, and to Honda's in general. I've usually been a member of the VW scene, but now I'm picking up a '94 Del Sol. Wondering if it's worth what I'll be paying before I start paying. It's got over 200k on the body and such, but the engine was replaced with a B16A2 (that's what she said the last owner said it was, but she doesn't know much, I'm not sure if it's just another A3) with 20k miles about 100k miles ago. It's a VTEC . The clutch is also brand new. It also comes with some crappy little chrome rims that I'll be selling ASAP. The rear right quarter is dented to hell, but it's all in that panel so I can replace a single panel to make the body straight again. Anyway, I'll be paying her $350 a month for three months, and $250 the fourth month for a total of $1300. Am I getting a solid deal?

So I am going to look at a turbo eg bubble tomorow. Rust Free, clean title, Ls/vtec, type-r trans lsd, turbonetics t4 on 12 lbs., tuned on Hondata s300, Guy said it dynoed 299, and I know the place he took it, that dyno is a low one usually. GSR leathers, car seems clean and healthy. I got him down to 3700, do you guys think that is a good deal or what? I want it for my fun car, I already drive a n/a ls/vtec daily so I just want something to race and have fun in.

Basically everything else is there... full original interior, all suspension, brakes, etc.

Thoughts?
Aim low.
No engine, no transmission, no wheels, no exhaust.
Serious, it's just a shell at that point.
Not even rolling, no wheels afterall.

(Though I'm kinda jealous that it has fogs, mine doesn't have fogs >>)

Rust, Rust will be your enemy.
Scour the **** out of the body for it.
Also, check the block stamping (Front, mid way down the block next to the transmission casing) for the actual engine code.

That back quarter panel is going to be a nightmare.
Example thread of the crap you can expect

How much do I have to pay the guy who chewed the ecu out of my parts car, and at least unbolted the vtec solenoid.. For those two things? Without him being a dick.. Idk what the salvage yard charged him, but I know people buy those things to make money.

what do you guys think the fair market value is? Its probably not worth it hanging out there two-three days a week so I can be the first monster to rip a vtec civic apart.

Icon2 What to do? 98 civic rod knock.

I have a 98 civic EX coupe that I really enjoy, but it has developed a cold start rod knock. I am not much of a mechanic and have no place but outdoors to work anyway so this will have to be done for me.

I found this local to me... He is asking 400 for it.
https://nashville.craigslist.org/pts/4645013784.html

From the posting:
Honda d15 jap motor with 97 v-tec head " minie me " with header
Intake and MSD distributor kit. Have mounts for new 96 up civic ,p/s bracket extra VTEC ECU , box of misc parts like injectors and harness , new t/belt still in box
Also have a turbo with adj blowoff valve but that not included in motor cost .
I am a Honda service tech and have and have more civic stuff around my shop

I talked to the guy a bit last night and he seems to know what is up. He is a honda service tech and is 55 yrs old. So.. My question is, is this a good motor for me? I will not be buying the turbo. Right now all I need is something to get me through the winter. The poor old 300k civic is all I have to drive right now and I dont want something else. I like this one. Body is in great shape etc. Only other issue is the tranny is getting sticky. I really want to keep the car. Keep in mind that this is my daily and I dont have cash for speed. I just need a working car.

I contacted a local pick a part and I can get an unknown mileage motor from them for 310. He stated in a text that his had 30 to 50k on it... how safe is this minime? I dont need more headaches.

Thanks!

People keep offering to trade me a harley and i have no clue the value of something custom like this. (stock 1998 4runner I can look up)

His text to me:
second generation rev tech 100 cubic inch engine 1638cc., 5 speed transmission, belt both, primary & drive, new brakes & belts, bike was constructed in 2004, it is at this time a 2014 special construction softail chopper which i have a clean title & over $23k in receipts for the build. beautiful bike! great, gorgeous, riding chopper. easy to fall in love with.

front & rear suspension, rear being adjustable as to whether you're riding passenger or not. great bike! 5 helmets, 2 full face, & 3 skull caps include

...What on this planet makes you think this Civic subsection, of this Honda forum, would be able to tell you the value of a custom soft tail?

This a message board for people that like cars. It would follow that probably somebody on this board probably likes HD.

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum and coming here because I know you all would know.

What would be a good price I could sell my 93' Honda Civic EX for? Below is the description:

- original owner
- automatic transmission
- ex model
- power windows
- sun roof
- tires in good shape
- brand new hood assembly (to open hood)
- odometer doesn't work but engine has been replaced with another engine (should have about 150-160K miles)
- a/c works intermittently
- driver side door needs motor for power window to work (passenger window works fine)
- vehicle overheats from time to time (loses coolant so there may be a leak)
- glove compartment missing door handle
- driver side directional light missing
- buyer to pay for title change

Couldn't add images because I'm too new to the forum.

Thanks in advance!

Automatic transmission is not really desired by those seeking MPG. Unknown mileage will scare some people. Leaking coolant will scare most people for fear that its already been ran hot and some cylinders may be low on compression. Widows not working is not a big deal unless someone is a smoker. I would give $600 at most without seeing how clean the body is in reference to rust.

Fix the window and the coolant leak and you will probably double your selling price.

Thanks Tweaver, I lowered it yesterday to 1200 and just stunned I haven't gotten 1 bite on this! I would at least think I'd get a few hits, questions, etc but nothing?!

I know that this is a popular vehicle but if anything at least reliable transportation for someone or perhaps a first time car for someone's kid. This doesn't make sense.
