whats the difference between the USDM headlights and the JDM ones for the EG. i see that theyre plastic instead of glass with the JDM, and they have the city lights. what exactly are city lights?

Re: (vsmEK)
most importnatly is that the jdm headlights use a H4H bulb. very few upgraded bulbs available and no one makes an HID kit for it and even stock replacement bulbs will cost you $35.00

DRL's are technically the headlight bulb running at a lower percentage of power than normal...
City lights are just that... city lights... DRL's are on when the power is on and lights are all the way off... city lights light up when the parking lights go on...
Also to the poster.. FYI
JDM headlights also use h4h headlight bulbs which are not available in the U.S. I believe there are some vendors that sell them now but at a premium
SDM (Singapore DM) have the city lights... have GLASS lenses with no nipples, and take normal h4 bulbs...

it's a small extra bulb in the headlight.</TD></TR></TABLE>
acutally that not true at all
running lights, as you know in the USA are mainly for safety purposes when driving ( let other drivers see you coming) and come on automatically when driving
city lights are used in the city, are not automatic, and are used when driving in the city. the purpose is so that when you get to an intersection, you turn off your main lights so as though you dont blind the driver across from you. once you get deeper into the city, and its alot brighter ( see any picture from tokyo at night), you just use these lights as the city around is well illuminated from all the buildings
hope that cleared up any confusion

Re: (R you serious)
Do the EDM headlights produce as good an output as the JDM headlights? Also, I know the EDM headlights are rather expensive but do you know where they can be purchased?

Honda Europe, about 215 euro each. They are expensive because they are motorized, you can raise and lower them from the cabin. Also in Europe the "city light" is used for parking , so other cars can see the edge of you car since street cans be very tight.
