Is "green plug" wiring different between 96-98 and 99-00?
Just curious if the "green plug" on the engine wiring harness, located in the passenger kick panel area, that attaches the engine harness to the body harness is the same or different between a 96-98 and 99-00 Civic. Just curious if I can just take a 99-00 engine harness and ECU and plug it in and have it work. If not, are the green plugs identical in the way they plug in or are they totally different? IF they are the same physically but different wiring wise, does anyone have the pinout for both??

The green plug isnt your problem when you try to use the other harness. The 99-00 has a plug that goes into the dash, while the 96-98 has a different plug for the dash.

OK. Are the same basic wires in these 2 different plugs? Can I just use a 96-8 plug on the 99-00 harness and heat shrink and solder the green plug to the harness? OR, does the 99-00 harness or ECU also employ some sort of anti theft? I was just hoping to use the harness instead of adding wires to mine for VTEC, 2nd O2, etc...
