Default "did search no help" cel wont show codes

i just put a 95 d16z6 in my 92 cx wired it all up but the o2. i get a cel after driving for about a half hour. jumped the connnector and turned the key on. normaly the light goes out but it just stays on full no blinks to show me what codes. but if i pull the paper clip out it turns off like its suppose to. i dont have a tach but i dont think its reving as high as it should so i know i wired sumtin in the vtec wrong..any help asap would be great guys

so you try to pull the code, and the CEL stays on. but if you don't try to pull the code, the light turns off? Maybe you don't have a code? Also if the light stays on when you pull the code, could mean an error with the ecu itself.

yea just called my buddy and turns out im dumb, the stock p05 will not work right with the z6 so it thinks it bad since the motor is diff. i was thought that when i read that all 92 hatch's are set up for vtec that my ecu its self had the programs in it for vtec but its just my harness. so now i know why the light is doing what its doing any one wanna sell me a p28 or p08????

I had that same problem with my swap. I believe resetting of the ECU fixed it for me It's been a while since that problem.

Also code 0 is for ECU malfunction
