Default "The Shake"

I have a 2000 Civic HB wit a JDM ITR Motor, and my problem is when i shift gears the entire front end assembly shakes.(usually from 1st going into 2nd gear, when driving it at highrpms) Would traction bars stiffen up the front end and possibly reduce the problem?

thanks

Are your motor mounts hardware tight or rubber mounts broken???

I would try to find out what the problem is rather than just buy aftermarket suspension parts to try to mask the issue. As for the problem I don't think I've ever heard it or you're explaining it bad (or possibly both). Do have to agree with Duane though - if you're putting a lot of torque up on the engine (like a high RPM shift from 1st to 2nd) with bad motor mounts ur gonna get the motor thrown around in there a lot.

Where do we start?

Soft/worn engine mounts
Tires
Worn suspension (balljoints/bushings)

Since you are shifting at high rpms we assume that you are shifting fast, so perhaps you are dropping the clutch half too fast or too hard.
