Default Maintenance Minder Confusion

I have a pretty simple question. I own a 2017 Civic and the code A1 is displayed next to the oil life. There is no wrench displayed. Do I wait for the wrench to come on or do I get my oil changed now?

Owner manual page 130: A = oil change, 1 = rotate tires

Thanks for replying. I understand what the A1 code means. My question was do I wait until the wrench icon is displayed to take it in for service? Right now the A1 code is displayed with 30% oil life but there is no wrench displayed.

You can always replace the engine oil before the maintenance minder reaches 15% of less. The wrench usually come on when the estimated oil life is 15% or less.

On the other hand, you can check for maintenance minder items code(s) even if oil life is more than 15%

30% is a little ambitious.

I don't believe that most of us would change the oil when there is still 30% life left.

I usually give up and swing by for an oil change when it's at 15%. :-)
