Civic 1.5t si chirping sound from engine bay
Recently I’ve had a chirping sound and can’t seem to pin point it. I have seen other forums say when they take it to the dealership, they will replace the fuel pump and the sound continues. Others say it could be a belt. Is there an easy fix I can do at home. I wouldn’t wanna goto the dealership for them to find nothing. The sound happens when it feels like it and is hard to replicate.
Edit: not my car but this is what it sounds like

Mine makes a similar noise...on mine, it was something with the A/C...I only really hear it at idle. May not be the same noise, but if it occurs again, try to press the climate button under the display, then press “off” at the top of the screen where it says A/C “off” “on”...cured my “chirping” noise, hopefully helps you. Not sure what is actually causing the noise though. Belt, compressor, fan???

mine had that since day one, it is whenever the a/c system comes on. You can do a test by turning the a/c system on and off manually at idle you will hear it start up and go away as the a/c system is turned on and off. The car will often turn on the a/c automatically so you will sometimes here it despite being in heat mode, but it is the a/c system. I was going to tell my dealer about it but I sold the car before doing so.
