Re: Advice on out the door price for a 2016 civic ex
Where did you get that math? Have personal experience with a 2016 Civic, I know the answer and I'm not trying to mess with a "mod", just asking a real question.
How about a "real thread" where real owners can share their experience and prices paid for said "2016 Civic". Make it a "sticky", so it stays at the top, and leave it open for members to post in.
Just a suggestion.....Thanks

Where did I get the math? You can mess with a Mod. We are still members first and can be wrong.

You get $1,646 off without asking. When you send the e-quote, give them your number so they can all you all hours of the day, you get a few more hundred off. This is not the lowest. It's just a dealership I know.
Wait...the OP said California. IMO, prices are pretty much the same in most of the country. Don't let them tell you otherwise. Wait...that can't be right because fright is different. True. But it should still be rather similar across all states.
When I shop for Honda, I use the lowest price in regardless of the state, and go from there. I'm not saying if someone in Alabama pay $20,234 and that's the price I should pay. Not a dollar more. I'll start from there, and then maybe pay $20,379, and the dealer include free oil change for one year. Or maybe there's already tint on the car.
So my original reply was rather general for OP to start at and IMO, not that far off.

Thats usually the case, we've been dealing down the MSRP by 2k for most purchases outside of Honda. It doesn't even have to be a civic.

Most sales guys would be doing fist pumps in the back by only giving you $2K off MSRP.
Any day of the week, you should get $4.5K off on a new Ody or Pilot, from MSRP.
Other brands are even more wild.

2016 Pilot prices paid - Page 113 - Honda Pilot - Honda Pilot Forums
GLD - again not trying to start anything just offering my opinion. I know this isn't GDD, things in there go downhill quickly
EDIT: So again, a thread where actual owners can share what they paid - options and that listed - can be a resource for others along with the other places that are out there (truecar, costco, ect).

I choose the Odyssey instead of the Pilot. And that was my "discount." I just checked the price link again, Odys are going now for $7K off MSRP for 2016.
Guys are paying $39K for Ody TE.

On the Ody, yea a "gen" change coming for 2017 (just like the 16 Pilot being a new gen vs the '15), I bet the discounts on the 16's will get deeper....might not be able to get the options/trim/color you want but the dealers will be doing their best to get them off the lot.
Let's see some real prices for the 16 Civic's already
