I've considered getting one to save some money and have a lower payment. It seems they are pretty hard to get at this point and I definitely won't pay a premium IF I do get one. I really liked the looks of the EP3 Si, but it just didn't have the performance that the new FG2 Si has. I may wait until '07 myself only because first year cars usually do have some issues.</TD></TR></TABLE>Speaking the truth, huh brother? The EP3 was an excellent design IMHO. The only thing it lacked was a little more OOMP under my right foot. The shifter was a little weird too. But, I can overlook the shifter. I drove my uncle's old EP3 with a type-s swap, and it was an absolute blast. Fun car.

But, the FG2 pwns as far as overall aesthetics and performance is concerned.

It's a nice enough car, but it's about as special a car as any other Honda when it's new. 99-00 Si was the shnizzit in it's day, and now it's referred to as a civic with 'only' a B16. Same with the EP3: was amazing before they hit the masses, now we say it only comes with the 'crappy' K20. The same will happen to this one when the next one comes out. Don't get me wrong... I LOVE HONDAs, but when somone quotes what they spent on their 'new' car, I laugh. $24,000(30,000 CDN).... not something to be proud of spending on a CIVIC...'cause that's what it really is. Pretty?... yes. Fast?... for a civic, yes. As someone who has sold cars in the past, your best bet is to wait until the next one comes out and get 2 or 3 06's for the same $24,000. I've been there many times. It's an awesome feeling driving home in a BRAND NEW car, but when the novelty wears off and it's a used car 2 years later... what's it worth?... about 60% of what you paid. And all that pride you felt driving it home must be swallowed when you bend over to sell it. And by this time, you're not the only one in your town to have one anymore. In fact, there's 7 on your street.
