Replacing Door on 2008 LX 2DR
Long story short my door doesn't open any more (the door mechanism is damaged and will not open from the inside or out). And theres a giant dent and scratches everywhere. There was two parties (me and another).
Anyone replace a door on a 8th gen civic and know how much it costs? I'm not in my home city and do not know about any good car shops where I am at for school but if need be i will find a few and get an estimate.
I know the honda estore will cost something like 1000+ for a brand new door, and I need to get a front right fender as well.

Re: Replacing Door on 2008 LX 2DR
He was on a bike, it was dark but we agreed on just exchanging information and the cop didnt file anything. Im meeting with the guy on friday to see what is going on. But the cop indicated that we were both at fault, it was a bit dark out and there was a line of cars, he was wearing dark colors and no reflectors (He had a blinker for his rear), or a helmet. He was behind a line of cars going as he stated around 15mph , then said he didnt think i was going to turn (after having my signal on for a good 10 seconds while i was going up my hill. I turn and he had maybe 30-50 feet of reaction distance, but ends up slamming into my door and then sliding over the top of my car and hitting the pavement. It was also my fault for not seeing him well.
I don't want to push this through my insurance, the main problem is the door not opening, no body damage at all. Worst part was this was while i was turning into my driveway. I live near a road that goes to a freeway.
