Oil Filter housing adapter gasket..HELP!
I have a 2009 Honda Civic EX and I'm having a oil leak coming from the Oil Filter Housing Gasket.
For some reason I cannot find any information on instructions on how to change/replace the O-ring gasket and where .
does anyone know where I can find information on how to change/replace them or know how to themselves?

Re: Oil Filter housing adapter gasket..HELP!
Looking at my 8th gen 06-07 FSM. It looks to me to match your picture and your oil filter is built into the oil pan itself. The filter housing does not have any seals and I would suspect you have an oil pan gasket leak. The housing itself can't leak unless the pan/housing is cracked/broken, the filter gasket could potentially but it would be drooling off the filter itself. I do not believe the R18 motor changed that significantly from 07 to 09. Please see the relevant FSM pages below:

Looking at hondaparts now at the 2 door 2009 DX, it looks like the design was changed a fair amount.
There is a large gasket behind the oil filter housing and the o-rongs you have look more like the oil pump O-rings.
https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-...pump-1-8l.html
I don't have a FSM for the 2009, I only have the 06-07 manual as my Si is an 07.
I suspect 08+ they changed the oil pan design by the looks and made the oil filter housing a separate unit that can be unbolted without dropping the pan like the previous 2 years.
Oh lovely, they use 2 O-rings behind the oil pan around a dowel it looks like part #29 in the link below.
https://www.hondapartsnow.com/parts-...-pan-1-8l.html
I don't see an oil pan gasket in the list, makes me wonder if they use an liquid gasket maker on the oil pan.
I'll take a look at my FSM again and check the oil pan section to see if I didn't look deep enough. I find it hard to believe they would change the design that significantly in the generation of vehicle. I suspect you might have to drop the oil pan to get to the O-rings you bought and potentially causing your leak.
I'll post the pages so you have all the information to do the job. Assuming the manual I have applies to your 2009 R18 motor.
Addendum:
I took a look at it this morning before work and I have several pages to take pictures of and post up. I believe the bracket seen on the parts site is the AC compressor bracket that must be removed to drop the oil pan. It's a big job to get those O-rings replaced. I will work on getting all the relevant pages posted for you. And the oil pan is sealed with an anaerobic gasket maker.

Re: Oil Filter housing adapter gasket..HELP!
12 pages and I skipped the AC shroud and the drive belt. I assume you should be able to decipher those items but if you require those pages, let me know.
