Find out at one connecting point the leak is, and have a muffler shop weld it. Or go back to stock. Or find an exhaust that fits.

it's pretty frustrating. i don't know why a company would waste their time manufacturing something that doesn't work.

Does the header have a flex pipe? If not, it might be a good idea to get one welded in. It'll help prevent the header from cracking from engine movement/vibration, and could help it align better with the exhaust. Shouldn't be a big deal for a decent muffler shop to do this.
