Hybrid Racing Cable Bushings
has anyone tried these yet or thinking about getting them? they are an improvement on the onld design for cable bushings. they use a sperical bushings which helps give a smoother shift. these are finally out and can be purchased on hybrid racing's website.

Re: Hybrid Racing Cable Bushings
I have the TWM bushings, and i can notice a tighter shift. Not a big difference, but for a small price it does the job.

Re: Hybrid Racing Cable Bushings
Guys I was one of the beta testers for these units. This is the review I did for a different forum
Fit and finish: Perfect, you can tell there was much effort and detail into making these. They are not the normal shifter bushings we are used to from the competitors (or lack there off from the point these are released). There was no forcing or twisting to try to get the cable collar on. They fit the first time, effortlessly with no play whatsoever. I Couldn't be happier. Performance: Here is where the news gets even better. The way they are designed (I will take a picture tomorrow when I take them off to send them back), they have a "pivot" that allows the cable to move in any direction necessary (similar to the stock rubber bushing). However where it differs is that its a solid mount bushings so it does not give like the rubber mount. The result? The cable has free motion and does not get twisted or bent when you are shifting through gears. I personally had a different set of cables from a different company and they made it difficult to shift into 6th and reverse. Through discussing with Russell (hybrid racings development engineer) the cause of this was that the cable was not given vertical movement as was necessary. This can lead to premature cable wear. These cables allow for the larger bushing to move in any direction needed which eliminates that problem. Every gear can be effortlessly entered and it has a nice solid feel when it gets into the gate. |
Re: Hybrid Racing Cable Bushings
They are far better then the other bushings. They feel like they were meant to be there from honda, except for they are firm and not mushy like the rubber ones. All the pros of the solid bushings, none of the negatives. They will last longer, perform better, and no worries of twisting or prematurely wearing the cables.

If you guys have any questions or concerns about these shoot me a pm. They are well worth it. Also if you are running different ones, they are worth the upgrade.
