Re: FA 08CivicSi
Depends how much you willing to spend, a name brand intake will set you back 250 to 350, ive never liked password stuff but to each their own. Also you wont really get any power gains if thats what your looking for, just some awesome noise, me i have a knn short ram for winter time and a skunk 2 cai for summer, both are worth it.

Re: FA 08CivicSi
Why wouldn't you just run a K&N performance filter in your stock air box? The CAI is already in the car from factory as the car draws fresh air from the driver fender outside of the engine bay...

Wont get as much power or VTEC NOISE!!!!! from a drop in filter compared to a CAI, stock intakes are designed to be quiet an fuel efficient, but thats the whole car in general. Even Si's while being more sport oriented are just eco cars, it still a honda lol. Also if you go into your engine bay you'll se that it draws in air from a small tube under the air box, very restrictive, now on a Skunk2 its a 3 inch pipe drawing air, more air more power!!!!!! but even said that you still wont gain power from it, thats were a good tune or even running a hondata base map will help in benefiting from a CAI or SR. but not by much either. Fyi I drive Mugen so Vtech away.
