I just purchased a used 2007 Honda Civic EX. The Valet key opens the door fine and starts the car but the engine shuts off a few seconds later. No problems with the Master Key. Has anyone experienced this issue? Is this a bad key? The valet key does not seem to have any kind of electronic chip so not sure why this is happening.

The valet key should look like the master key except a different color. If it doesn't have a chip, it's not a valet key and not going to work.
