Dash rattle/squeak
Hi I just bought an 08 SI and I hear a bit of a rattle or squeak where the front right of the dash meets with windshield. Anyone else have this? It feels like you can press on the plastic panels and there is some give.

Re: Dash rattle/squeak
actually mine is the 2 door, I don't have that little tiny window by the dash with that vent.
atleast I have an idea of what the problem may be though |

Re: Dash rattle/squeak
yeah the rattle is pretty apparent over bumpy roads. Looks like this baby will be hitting the shop... What if my windshield needs repalced? It's obviously coming from where the dash meets the windshield, creaking noise over any kind of bump. I got this car used and it has 11k miles... I did not notice the creak during the day/test driving when it was warmer out. Cold now at night and it creaks more. I wonder if that is replaceable under warranty.

Dealer repaired under warranty. They removed both A-pillar airbags and found that the "breakaway clips" were broken. They applied foam tape and new clips and presto, the interior sounds like a bank vault, the way it should. No rattles anymore. They said they see this more on the 2door vs the 4 door fyi.

I've noticed the same thing in the exact location you just mentioned. At first it really bothered me, but then I got over it.
