coilovers
i did a search and only found a couple threads about lowering springs, not full coilovers.
what is the difference between all the different kits from the same company? example: tein flex vs supersport, and skunk2 pro-c vs pro-s. i also would like your opinions on ride quality and handling ability. my fa5 is a DD and i just started doing the SOLO (autocross) events with scca. |
Re: coilovers
The flex and pro-c's are of similar designs while the superstreets and the pro-s's are their own design. The method of lowering in the flex is in both the shock travel segment and in the lower shock body. These setups also come with fully assembled top hats for the front macpherson's. The ss/pro-s do no have thier own top hats, thus you need to transfer your oem units over. Their height adjustablilty is only in the shock travel portion of the unit. Therefore the flex/pro-c will be more expensive because you have this extra degree of adjustability without sacrificing strut travel. Also, simply looking and comparing between the units will tell you a lot.

Re: coilovers
the buddy club n+ are pretty nice, they're fully adjustable (height and stiffness) and don't reuse any original parts. they're also a pretty good deal at a little over $1k.

Re: coilovers
i looked on the buddy club website, and the n+ does not have our Si's listed on the application list. where do you get them from if the manufacturer doesnt even have them listed?
(EDIT) nvm just found em on corsport. |
