CIVIC 2007 steering wheel turning easily right
Hello.
I just bought a second-hand CIVIC 1.8, model 2007 and it has a strange problem.
The steering wheel is turning easily right, and more "hard" to the left.
Also when on the street, it goes by itself to the right if I don't keep it straight.
I went to the alignment and balancing guys, but nothing helped.
When I bought it, it was almost out of use for a couple of years, with old tires, so I thougt that was the problem.
Also, I have it seen in 2 different garages, and nothing seems to be broken or sth.
The steering wheel is electric powered and there is not any light on at the board.
Does anybody have any suggestion on this problem?
Thank you in advance..!

Yes the tyres are used now for 3-4 months.
When I turn to one side, it is not pulling to the other.
It just turns easily to the right and more hardly to the left.
When I bought the car, it was not used for almost 2 years.
The tyres were old and worn.
I changed the front tyres right to left and viceversa and also there was kind the same problem.
So I changed tyres, did alignment and balancing but the problem is the same exactly.
I have two thoughts.
It might be the electric power steering,
or may be the car was crashed before, but it doesn't seem to have any harm at all the steering system.

I am driving 08 Civic Si Coupe and has a similar problem, but not as much as dramatic as yours.
There are several reasons why your steering wheel is easily turning right.
1. Wheel Alignment - This is the usual case, but since you've done it already, ignore it.
2. Camber - If your car is lowered with lowering springs, your front cambers might be in negative status. This is my case and CANNOT be fixed by the wheel alignment. You can solve this problem by installing camber kits - which I don't really recommend - or installing new suspension system such as springs, struts, or coil overs accordingly.
3. Tires - Make sure you have same tire pressure for the front tires. If you have less tire pressure on the front right tires, your car will turn right.
By the way, wheel balancing doesn't really helps for this case...

Re: CIVIC 2007 steering wheel turning easily right
Unfortunately, it is not not lowered, and the tires have the same pressure.
The main problem for me, is that the car turns to the right easily and to the left hardly.
This is the main problem, I think if it is fixed, then the alignment issue while on road will be also fixed.
Thank you for your time and reply

Take it to another alignment place, Honda preferred. Sounds like something is bent like a control arm or subframe causing a camber or caster issue causing it to easily turn one way and be hard the other way.

My first guess is there's something going on with either the rack itself. The rack guide screw is designed to put pressure on the rack for when you turn the wheel. It's possible something is faulty with the rack and it's not putting pressure on one side over the other. I can't really think of anything else that would make one side easier than the other other than the rack being bad.
