Default CEL - limp home mode - no code - D3

I am stumped. If I drive in D3 at about 30mph for about 4 miles, the cel will come on (2007 Civic EX). A little after that, the car will go in limp home mode. If I stop the car, switch it off and back on, the light goes out and there is no more problem. When I check for codes, there aren't any.

The same thing will happen if I have it in Drive and travel about 25 miles at 75.

Thanks

RK

That's a curious problem. When you started the description I thought it might be your TPS relay or the sensor itself. That would throw the car into limp mode as it did for mine. I am getting the TPS relay replaced. Speed related limp modes are not my strong suit but I would venture to say your transmission control module or a speed sensor might be to blame.

Update. Still have CEL and limp home mode but this time I have codes. The codes are, Po301, 302, 303, 304 and 300. All I have to do to get the CEL to turn off is to turn off the engine and turn it back on. The codes seem to say that I have a miss on all cyl. However, I do not feel a miss.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is the approximate mileage on the car? Has the spark plugs ever been changed?
