Default 09 Si, Header question

So I got a Strupp RH. Plan on putting it on this week. I know about the defouler for the secondary but I was told today by a shop that I needed them for the front too so that the o2 sensor didn't get messed up by too much heat. He also mentioned that the primary is located in the cat which is the reason for the defouler up front to stand it off a bit. I can't find anything to support what he's saying. Thoughts?

The primary is what keeps the a/f ratio straight right? If so of course not. But then again the guy I bought the car from said when the header was on the car before he went ahead and put the stock back on because the RH kept on burning up the o2 sensor and he had to replace it several times. So that's why I posted this because that was what he said would happen. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks....

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll go ahead and go with it straight like you mentioned. If it burns one damn sensor then I'm going back stock. Gotta give it a shot though.
