Default anyone have any good experiance with Racing Brakes?

The company called Racing Brakes has a set of front Rotors slotted for 180 bucks for 2, the car has great stock brakes but I am looking for a little better stopping power during those spirited runs. They also have rear rotors but those are slotted and drilled and drilled rotors tend to crack around the drills so I am waiting for slotted rear rotors. Anyone have any good comments on them or any other brake company ( Brembo, Rotora, Project Mu). Please let me know. I know Rotora has a big brake kit for the Si but am not sure it will fit under the stock wheels. Thanks in advance

You will find that just switching rotors of the same size will make very little difference in braking performance or feel. The best bang for your buck will be to go with an upgraded pad. I really like Porterfield R4S as a good street/autocross compromise pad. Also look to Hawk, Carbotech and Cobalt.

regards,
alan

I will be doing that too I am leaning toward EBC as I want a low dust compound pad

I was disappointed with the EBCs I had on a delSol some years ago. No better than OEM and they did not last any longer.

Quite frankly, you probably would be better off spending your money somewhere else. The OEM brakes are really pretty decent for everyday driving. If you are going to track the car you are better off with a dedicated track pad.

On my EP3 I went with Brembo slotted STOCK size rotors (only in front) with Axxis pads (on all fours), stainless lines (all fours), and some kinda blue breakfluid. Cost like 3-350 altogether. It was a good set up for the money. I got it at Brake Zone I believe. Website should be same as name.
