Default Engine Swap '07 LX

So had a cracked block. Dad wants to just put a whole new engine into it. Now I'm pretty mechanically sound, but any help with a manual or how-to or any advice would be greatly appreciated. We just plan to swap it with a regular honda engine. Thanks for your help guys.

How many miles are on it? You could just swap the block to save money.
I know R18s aren't that cheap.
None of my business but how did you crack the block?

I think there was some sort of recall issue with cracked blocks.
