Default 2009 CIVIC ABS QUESTION

I have a 2009 civic that feels like ABS activates under hard braking. No pulls, no codes. I disconnected one sensor to disable system and it went away. Any ideas on how to pinpoint the issue?

check for any stored codes after plugging it back in and clearing the codes before driving it to get it to replicate the issue....see if a code pops up

if you get one, check the wheel bearing, if it's good, check the connector, if it's dirty, use mass air flow sensor cleaner to clean it, clear the codes, see if it comes back, if it comes back, replace the sensor

Thank You...Will do. Is there an ohm value that I could test individual sensors? I'm mostly stumped because of no codes have been stored.

what exactly is happening when you brake ? you can try checking each sensor for dirt and debris and check each wheel bearing for roughness

Under moderate braking the pedal bumps(ABS activating)..no codes, I did clean sensors, when I disable ABS(unplug a sensor) it clears up.

Folks on another Honda specific site have said that this is a sensor issue. In the thread it was found out to be a ABS sensor on the rear passenger wheel hub. A code reader would be a benefit, but taking it to a garage will be the best answer.

Can you send me a link to that...I am using an Autel scan tool and no codes have come up.

Also, wheel speeds read normal on all four. It seems I need to be going 25MPH or more to get it to happen.
