Default 2008 civic maintenance

ok so I am new here, I am trying to rap my head around this maintenance schedule for my 2008 civic. Not sure how the computer lets me know when to change the brake fluid, coolant, and what ever else needs to be serviced. can anyone explain it to me in layman's terms.
Thanks in advance

The computer doesn't tell you when to change the brake fluid or coolant...

The computer will tell you when to change your oil based on a calculation of mileage.

I change brake fluid every 2 years give or take.
I also change my coolant every 2 years or so depending on mileage done.
For the transmission fluid I change it every 2 oil changes but you could do it every 3 or 4.
Oil changes should be done every 8000-10000 km don't have a converter to change it to miles... the computer will tell you when it's getting close to be changed. I don't follow that really I change mine every 5000 km because of the type of driving I do.

If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

The maintenance minder sub-code 5 indicates when to change the coolant.

Oil life is calculated based on engine operating conditions. If the engine runs at higher temperatures and rpm, or at low temperatures during short trips, the oil life will deplete faster than an engine running under more normal conditions.
