2007 Honda Civic (Basic) 4 door
I have a Honda Civic that shows I have no gas and it has gas. It looks to be the fuel gauge sending unit. Could I repair this? Keep in mind I change brakes on the car and do minor repairs. Or do I have to drop the fuel tank to fix this? Is there a guide for my type of car or no? Thanks

You don't need to drop your tank.
Here's the breakdown:
- You have to remove the rear seat (it's only a few bolts).
- You can then access the fuel cage panel. That also needs to be removed; it's just a few screws and, you also need to unplug the wiring and fuel lines.
- To loosen the cage, use a flathead screwdriver and a hammer. All you are doing is turning it counter-clockwise to loosen it.
- Now you can pull out the fuel cage; you kind of have to angle it out due to the orientation of the float arm.
- The fuel sender unit is the tiny little board that is connected to the float arm.
The details that I used at the time are detailed here: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/do-yo...-improved.html.
