2007 Civic SI: Steering Wheel Light! EPS (electric power steering)
I have a 2007 honda civic si, sedan, my current mods are koni yellows, eibach springs, eibach front and rear sway bars. esr sr06 wheels which are 17" x 8.5"
I need help asap.. my wife is pregnant and I don't wanna put her in a unsafe environment. As of right now my electric power steering randomly cuts off and the steering wheel light pops up on the dash. turning the car off and back on helps but some times comes back and i have to repeat the steps. i am not trying to figure out a way around it. i would like to fix it, please help asap thanks in advance. |

Have you tried reading the code, I'm pretty sure that will tell you. Asking here won't really help because we can't physically test drive or see you vehicle to diagnose it.

Just received, in the mail from Honda Automobile Divsion, a warranty extension which covers the EPS torque sensor (DTC 53-01 or DTC 53-02). No catches. If it is bad they will replace it free. If you had it already fixed (and you have a receipt) they will replay you. The warranty is good up to 13 years with NO mileage limit. It is transferable. It is Honda Warranty Extension 5Z2.
