Alright so i wanna start this off with im not a newb with hondas i am new to 8th gens . currently i have a 06 si 160k miles the shell is not usable in the forseeable future so my questions are
will my k drop in without mods to the existing frame mounts in a ex lx i know i will need my k member from my si
will my underdash wiring plug into the rest of the wiring in the car coupe or sedan. Ex lx etc.
Do i need to swap steering colums im unsure how the laser cut keys work

I do not want to heer anybody saying to just go buy another si or to not attemp this i dont care what you think as far as that goes i have a complete si to do this theres no excuses i know it can be done and i wouldnt be asking if i could have found this info within a reasonable time of searching

Re: 2006 si drive train into 2006-11 base model questions
As far as I know, the engine and mounts will match the chassis, as they were all made to the same dimensions. The subframe will need to transfer over with the drivetrain, and you have identified that. The drive by wire throttle system is as well, universal to the generation. However, the Engine Control Module and the Transmission Control Module both will have to come across to allow the system to work properly. Ensure that the entire engine bay electrics are brought across as there are most likely some sensors in that area that are Si specific. The steering columns, brakes and clutches are all common, but the steering wheel for the Si is different as it has stereo controls ( having never looked in any other 8th Gen higher than an LX, I would presume that the EX and the EX-L have thee controls as well ).
Good luck with your project.
