Default 2006 civic maintenance minder won't reset

I recently had the instrument cluster replaced with a new honda cluster (fuel indication display was no longer working). The work was done by my local mechanic. I just changed the oil/filter and attempted to reset the maintenance minder, no luck. I have reset it according to steps listed in the owner's manual many times before. This was fully functional prior to cluster replacement. Now, no adjustment for brightness, minder reset or scrolling through menu (all previously fully functional). Any ideas on how to correct or reset ? Thanks

Sounds like you need to have the mechanic resolve the issue.

Might require dealership servicing.

Are you sure it's an OEM 8th gen civic cluster?
Aftermarket clusters may not have the same functionality as the stock cluster.

My 2014 accord sport is a manual transmission and requires the parking brake to be set. Otherwise it's greyed out from selecting it.

Thanks to all for your replies. My mechanic did purchase and install a oem honda civic cluster. The car has auto transmission but I will try setting the parking brake. Dealership servicing is an option as well. Again, thanks for your replies.
