06 si 02 simulator
Hey guys my name is Zach and I purchased an 06 SI with a full D.C. Sports Exhaust about 2 weeks ago. Anyways when I got the car, the guy said because of the exhaust that it will throw a code...and he gave me the part that he was going to use (o2 simulator) but I have no idea how to install it and was hoping I could get pointed in the right direction! Thanks!

Based on what you have pictured, you simply unplug the O2 sensor, connect the simulator in between the two original plug ends... and you are done. Now I assume that this is for the secondary O2 sensor so that the lack of a cat can be accounted for, so you will need to plug the simulator into the REAR most O2 sensor.

Re: 06 si 02 simulator
That looks more like an O2 extension wire. I had to build one for my 07 Si with full Skunk2 Megapower 70mm exhaust.
The dingbats who originally did the install just crimp extended the original o2 and didn't even heat shrink it so eventually corroded and threw the primary o2 code. Once I got the new Denso o2, I noticed the wire was short for the position on the after market header and I made an extension plug setup that looks just like your pictures.
For the 2nd o2 sensor, you can get a 90 degree defouler for about 30 bucks on amazon.com. That will change the readings of the second o2 and prevent the infamous bad catalytic converter code (2nd o2 sensor code).
Here is one on amazon.ca if yer in canada:
From what I observed, the 2nd o2 didn't need an extension in the wire but the primary o2 does for the aftermarket exhaust. And there appeared to be enough room in the wire of the 2nd o2 sensor to add the defouler without issue. The 90 degree is needed so the o2 has room and not end up rubbing in the corridor.
I can't say mine has a defouler so it's not like I can say with 100% certainty. If you get Hondata Flashpro you can turn off the 2nd o2 sensor which is where my car is at.
I have been thinking about doing the defouler anyway and turning the 2nd o2 back on.

Re: 06 si 02 simulator
I would just put it back to stock and throw that DC Sports in the trash.
