he might have a dx and have no tach... i believe it requires rewiring, someone correct me if im wrong

It should work I removed my cluster plenty of times and its just a Blue and Green plug from your car and two slots in your cluster to connect to it should work.....
But I was wondering If you have a certain Milage would it convert or be the milage of the cluster you buy??? Hmm.. might have to look into that im looking to buy a new one too....

It will be plug and play. The wire for the tachometer is already there.
The mileage will be off though, aslong as you keep track of what your current mileage is, you will not have a problem.

Well I wasnt sure because on this one they say it reverts b/c of the computer storing the milage..
