Transmission swap USDM to JDM

My transmission struggles to shift into their at time and gets stuck on third at times what can this be??
Additional question if I swap my USDM for a JDM tranny would it be plug and play or so I need new sensors etc?

What year, model, engine do you have, Help me help you. The trans may be on its way out, but have you checked the fluid the correct way to make sure its full........first thing to always check when you have shift issues. Also I would assume by your OP that this is an automatic? But want to make sure.

It is a 2003 Honda Civic ex coupe yes it is an automatic, I check the fluid it read full but the stick was a little dry. Also I’ve released that when ever the transmission is cold I can drive almost fine but when the transmission fluid gets hot I slip crazy. Last night it didn’t want to move when I was in a red light I turn off the car waited a couple seconds and turned it back on and it moved but extremely slow; when I turned it on this morning again cold transmission it was driving fine got hot and slipped again.

Yeah its probably shit the bed, you can try fresh fluid and a filter change but its probably toast. I would highly doubt a JDM auto trans is any different, but you should be able to find USDM trans all day for the same money. Why a JDM Trans?
