DANGEROUS!!!Longest lasting Timing belt?
I am fully aware of the importance of a new TB on a nice and safe 80k, but would it be possible for a timing belt to last way beyond the recommended mileage? If so what is the longest lasting belt around these parts?...130k, 150k
I know its playing with dynamite not just fire...

i'm sure one could last beyond the recommended mileage, but why would you want to chance it? is it really worth destroying an engine just to see how many more miles you can get out of it.

Most I've ever seen is a 2000 CRV with the original timing belt at 240K miles. It's possible for them to last a very long time, but not worth the risk.

On my EM2 I change the timing belt/tensioner/water pump/VC gasket/other belts/radiator flush at 130k miles
The belt look like new, water pump was clean...but what they said, not worth the risk

x2. Is it worth saving a small amount to destroy the heads? I hope your answer is no.
