Lift Kit for 2001 Civic DX?
Hi guys, new here, thanks for the help in advance. I have a 2001 Civic DX and have to drive 10 miles of dirt road to a house that I am at maybe 1 month out of the year. I live over seas. I have knocked a hole once already in the oil pan ($300 to fix) and need to lift it about 4 inches and try to find some tires that are taller. Is this possible? Can any of you direct me to the right place to get the parts and maybe have this job done? I live in the hill country of texas/San Antonio. Thanks.

sell it and get a truck.. bigger rims will help and taller tires.. maybe a strut spacer.. I know they make some for landrovers..

Thanks for all the advice on a different vehicle but not interested in something else. I use it rarely and want something fuel efficient as a run to town car. Can someone point me to a lift kit for this vehicle? Thanks
Steve, where can I find taller tires that may give me a couple inches or more? I talked with America's tires and they have a rim and tire that is a little taller but will only give me about 3/4 inch more clearance, hardly worth the $600+

There's no financially practical option to lift a Civic, the cost would outweigh the fuel savings.
If you want taller tires, just buy one with a taller sidewall, there's no magic lift a Civic tire.

You could spend a few hundred dollars on a custom set of springs from a company like Swift or Hyperco. But, you would definitely need an alignment afterward. And, I wouldn't advise going beyond 1" of lift. You could really get in to trouble going much beyond that (CV's could pull out of the transmission). If you couple this with some safely oversized tires (no more than 3% oversized, because that will cause issues as well), you can achieve almost 2" of ground clearance. But, it will cost you quite a few dollars.

well you could put some front springs on the back and get some sleeves and put them on the highest setting, my friend had some sleeves on his 93 and put them on the highest setting and it looked like a 4x4

The one cheap thing I would likely do if you destroy another oil pan is weld a skid plate on the replacement, although it wouldn't help with ground clearance it might minimize any possible damage.
